Edyta Smigielski, owner of Akcent Day Spa
The Person Behind the Spa

Meet Edyta.

Over 20 Years of Professional Experience

Edyta Smigielski is the owner of Akcent Day Spa and a licensed massage therapist and esthetician. Her experience and personalized approach shape every treatment she provides.

After moving to Roanoke from Myrtle Beach, Edyta helped establish the spa at Balance Wellspace, where she developed lasting relationships with her clients. She eventually took ownership of the business, renamed it Akcent Day Spa, and later relocated to its current South Roanoke location.

Edyta especially enjoys customized facials and therapeutic treatments, drawing on her experience with a variety of techniques and modalities, including MediCupping vacuum therapy, to tailor each visit to her clients' individual needs.

Her approach is rooted in listening, understanding her clients' concerns, and helping them look and feel their best.

The Story Behind Akcent

Originally from Poland, Edyta has called the United States home for more than 27 years. While she may not notice her Polish accent, others certainly do!

Akcent is the Polish spelling of accent, a personal nod to her heritage and a name that makes the spa uniquely hers.

Professional Skincare & Beauty

Professional Products, Personalized Care.

Edyta works with professional skincare products chosen to complement her customized treatments and her clients' individual skincare needs.

Eminence Organics is an important part of her facial and body treatments. A selection of products is available at the spa, while her online shopping link provides access to a broader collection, including products not stocked locally.

Edyta also carries a selection of Jane Iredale makeup and beauty products.

What Makes Us Different

One Room. One Provider. Your Time.

Unlike larger day spas, Akcent Day Spa has one private treatment room, with Edyta personally providing every service.

This creates a relaxed, one-on-one experience with consistent, individualized attention.
